Dr. Michael L. Clegg, M.D.

Dr. Clegg is a Physiatrist. A physiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Clegg earned his medical degree at the University of Utah and completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Clegg’s expertise is in occupation medicine, sports medicine and non-surgical orthopaedic medicine. He is skilled in nerve testing (EMG studies), as well as precise fluoroscopically guided joint and spinal injections (trigger point injections). As a rehabilitation physician, he treats a wide range of problems. His goal is to decrease pain and enhance performance without surgery. He takes the time needed to accurately pinpoint the source of an ailment. He then designs a treatment plan that can be carried out by the patient or with the help of his medical team. This medical team might include other physicians and health professionals, such as neurologists, orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists.
